What to check on a report

Review the sample or batch identifier, testing laboratory, test date, analytical method, reported result and any stated limitations. Confirm that the document corresponds to the material you are evaluating.

Important limitation

Terms such as purity, identity and quantity describe specific analytical findings. They should not be interpreted as proof that a material is an approved medicine, clinically effective, sterile or suitable for administration to a person or animal.
